RUGGERI Giuseppe

Giuseppe Ruggeri received the M.S. degree in Electronics Engineering in 1998 from the University of Catania, Italy, and the Ph.D. degree in Electronics, Computer Science, and Telecommunications Engineering in 2002 from the University of Palermo, Italy.

Since 2002, he has been with the Department of Information Engineering, Infrastructures, and Sustainable Energy (DIIES) at the University “Mediterranea” of Reggio Calabria, Italy, where he served as Assistant Professor in Telecommunications and became Associate Professor in 2022.

His current research interests include the Internet of Things (IoT), Edge Computing, and Information-Centric Networking. He has authored more than 80 international publications.

He has served as General Co-Chair of IEEE/ACM workshops and as a Technical Program Committee (TPC) member for several leading international conferences, including IEEE ICC, IEEE GLOBECOM, and IEEE WCNC. He currently serves as Associate Editor for the journals Elsevier Ad Hoc Networks and Springer Wireless Networks.

He has participated in several funded research projects, also serving in coordination roles in some of them.
