PANUCCIO Paola

Associate Professor of Urban Planning, University of Study Mediterranea, Reggio Calabria Department DARTE.
Graduated in Architecture in 1988 and in Urbanistics and Territorial Planning in 1991 at the University of Reggio Calabria with honors, she continued to conduct research with Regional and National Scholarships at the Universities of Reggio Calabria, Palermo and Rome.
She obtained a doctorate in Urbanistics and Territorial Planning and a Research Fellowship at the Faculty of Architecture of the Mediterranean University. She has tutored numerous theses, organized and coordinated conferences, seminars, and workshops.
In 2003 she obtained a full-time position as a researcher in Urbanistics (ICAR21) and teaches analysis and environmental assessment, analysis and landscape planning, urbanistic planning and landscape, and is head of the landscape Laboratory.
The scientific research programmes, which she headed, are related to territorial, urbanistic and environmental planning; activities for the protection and enhancement of local resources for the government, land management and planning of quality landscapes.
Currently, she is working on disciplinary insights to treat the landscape within the ordinary urbanistic instruments.
Since 2006 she is member of the Board of the Professors of the Doctoral School in "Territorial Planning" of the Mediterranean University of Reggio Calabria.
Since 2006 she is part of the National Committee of Landscape and Environment of the National Institute of Urbanistics, collaborates in drafting the 2007 Report from the Territory, as a representative of the Calabria region .
Since 2010 she is part of the Regional Planning Commission as an expert in urbanistics, by decree of the President of the Regional Government of Calabria.
