MAURIELLO Francesco

Francesco Mauriello is Associate Professor of Chemical Foundations of Technology at the Mediterranea University of Reggio Calabria. He has developed a distinguished academic and scientific profile in the field of chemistry applied to sustainable processes, with a focus on catalysis, biomass and residue valorization, circular economy, and technologies for environmental and energy applications. Throughout his career, he has combined research, teaching, and scientific coordination, contributing to numerous national and international projects and collaborating with leading universities and research centers. His academic path includes international research experience at Hokkaido University, Aachen University, Queen’s University, and the University of Sussex, which helped him build a broad and interdisciplinary scientific network. He is the author of 90 papers in international journals, with more than 3,000 citations and an h-index of 28. Alongside his research output, he is actively involved in teaching and supervising students, PhD candidates, and early-career researchers, while also holding roles in scientific associations and sector organizations.
