While the discussion concerning the tools to govern the processes of city regeneration and the region, seems to focus on the role of instruments of a general nature such the structural one, it appears to require a thorough reflection on the aspects that characterized the period of Programs called Complex. Even if the experience wasn’t the most productive, but we need to learn both the positive aspects from the negative, to keep the knowledge and to use the experience as a guide in future urban and regional policies.
