Take Care. The Body of Architecture, the City and the Landscape

The considerations presented are intended to offer a point of view on an aspect proposed by the session: Cultural sustainability, urban commons and care of places. And to do so, in particular, with respect to the relationship of scale of architecture, of the city, of the landscape framed in the broad theme of urban design in Italy. Starting from some theoretical reflections and from some evaluations of exemplary design experiments, possible intervention strategies applicable to the regional territory in compliance with the principles of sustainability are outlined, focused on the enhancement of the landscape and economic heritage of the city in which they are inserted and vaults the improvement of the quality of life, accessibility and mobility, functional mixité and the promotion of social relations.
