- PhD in Transports Engineering - University of Reggio Calabria;
- Associated Professor with the DICEAM Department of the University of Reggio Calabria;
- Scientific qualification for Full Professor;
- SIIV (Italian Society of Transport Infrastructures) Member;
- AIPCR (World Road Association) Member;
- Director of the DICEAM Department at the Mediterranean University of Reggio Calabria (2018-2024).
- Vice Director for 6 years of the DICEAM Department and a member of the University's Quality Control Unit (2012-2018). In this role, he has frequently been delegated to represent the University at the Conference for Engineering (COPI).

B. Educational Activities:
- Road, Railways and Airport expert and Tutor;
- Thesis Supervisor (University, Master and PhD thesis);
- Teaching at University of Reggio Calabria - Official courses: Theory of infrastructures, Railway Engineering, Planning and management of infrastructures yards.


C. Scientific activities:
- Author and co-author of many scientific papers relative to Environment impact assessment, road, railways and airport materials, quality of road materials issues, transport safety, studies of Environmental impact and processes of project optimization, railways knots, minor concrete constructions for road infrastructures, road maintenance and rehabilitation.
The complex and intensive teaching activities he has carried out over the years have primarily concerned ICAR/04 sector subjects within undergraduate and master’s degree courses in civil engineering (L7 and LM23) and environmental and land engineering (LM35).
From 2022 to the present, he has been a member of the Doctoral Board in Civil, Environmental, and Industrial Engineering, administratively based at the University of Reggio Calabria.

His research work has resulted in the publication of over 120 papers (including his Ph.D. thesis – 37 indexed in the ISI Core Collection and 52 in Scopus), of which he is the sole author in 17 and the corresponding author in more than half.
