Gabriella Pultrone
Degree in Architecture from the University of Reggio Calabria in 1987 with full marks, PhD in Planning and Design of the Mediterranean City,
Associate Professor of Urban Planning, CEAR-12/B (formerly SSD ICAR/21), affiliated with the Department of Architecture and Design-dAeD, at the Mediterranean University of Reggio Calabria where for over thirty years she has carried out scientific research and teaching activities, as a teacher of courses in urban and territorial planning included in the Degree Course in Architecture.
Member of the Teaching Board of the PhD in Architecture of the Mediterranean University of Reggio Calabria and of the University Quality Assurance Board (PQA).
The main research topics concern: Cultural Heritage and Sustainable Tourism; Planning and Design of the Mediterranean City; Human Smart Cities; EU Cohesion Policy; Social Innovation; Urban and territorial planning for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development; Mitigation and adaptation to climate change; Urban Resilience; Urban Regeneration; Revitalization of minor historical centers and strategies for peripheral and internal areas. The results of his scientific activity are the subject of over 120 publications including scientific articles, essays in collective volumes and monographs and presented at national and international conferences.
Scientific Memberships: INU (Italian Institute of Urban Planning, ordinary member and member of the Board of Directors Calabria Section, 2024-2027); Accademia Urbana-AU (founding member); Italian Society of Urban Planning - SIU; Italian Association of Regional Sciences (AISRe) - Italian section of the Regional Science Association International (RSAI).
