Abstract:
The book "Landscape NEWYORK" is a combination of many memories of the New York City. A collection of sketches made during different visits of the city tries to combine the concept related with memory by mind and the representation of the memory by photos.
With the combination of these two different memories the book investigate the limit between Architecture and Landscape: wind, sea, vegetation and so on. A combination in which the two fields, Architecture and Landscape, seem to create an unusual new City.
The reality of the New York Cities is transformed and changed through different prospective, surfaces and public spaces and the drawings, collected in different chapters, show us how it is possible to discover a combination of the cities peaking up elements by elements.
A foreword made by James Corner introduce the dynamic reality of the New York City and the strong capacity of the sketches to represent it.
