Abstract:
Contemporary medicine makes a radical epistemological shift indispensable, one that brings out the human dimension and the active participation of the subject in building prevention processes, care and well-being. From this perspective, listening to patients' stories, re-evaluating the care relationship, and using Narrative Based Medicine instead of exclusively Evidence Based Medicine are of crucial importance. Placed in the realm of Medical Humanities, the Chapter intends to present, investigate and discuss the potential of Narrative Medicine with praticular reference to Bibliotherapy as a tool for prevention, educational care and well-being. Furthermore, the contribution reconstructs the historical-pedagogical pathway that has led to the outlining of such innovative training approaches and tools. In conclusion, the "Dialogue Literary Gatering" model is presented as an educational empowerment strategy, in the field of mental health promotion and psychosocial support (MHPSS) in LGBTQIA+ adolescent victims of minority stress.
