abstract:
The reference scenario for the building sector appears to have undergone profound changes
compared to a few decades ago.
The architects, enterprises and manufacturers that in the past acted as monads, incapable of
establishing networks, are called to re-think their focus and their methods for mutual interaction.
As a result, the next few years will bring a number of strategic challenges that can no longer be
avoided and will cut across the entire sector affecting all those involved in building processes.
They will refer, above all, to innovation, competitiveness and sustainable growth.
This being the case, university education is called to play a role in promoting the cultural growth of
entire communities by spreading knowledge in the ruling class and new expertise among professionals.
