The term "periphery" is still commonly used to connote the physical distance of an urban and / or territorial area from an attractor center of activities, defining their marginal conditions. However, it is possible to propose an inversion of vision that leads to attributing to these territories new values according to which urban suburbs and inner areas rise to "memory" of the future city, as an incubator of tradition and innovation, legacy and avant-garde. The contribute, edited with A.Leuzzo, briefly illustrates how these topics are investigated through the resilient scenarios for the reseatch project S2_Home (double safety housing module) and the application of regenerative laboratories of Rural Making Lab with ABITAlab and Pensando Meridiano.
