Syllabus

Course Objectives

The module deals with the planning, designa and management of plants of interest in industrial and environmental installations such as:

  • Plants for fluids management
  • Plants for water preparation for civil and industrial use

Course Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology and energetics.


Teaching Methods

Lessons, exercises, seminars, technical visits.


Assessment Methods

Oral exam (3 questions: plants for fluids (2); water treatment (1);) to verify the reaching of the formative objectives and the aquisition of the technical language use.

With the exception of the special exams made at the end of the semester of the modules, the exame in made only jointly with that of the other module.

The grading of the exam will be carried out as follow:

· 30 - 30 with honors (lode): complete, thorough and critical knowledge of the topics, excellent language properties, complete and original interpretative skills, full ability to independently apply knowledge to solve the proposed problems;

· 26 - 29: complete and in-depth knowledge of the topics, approriate use of language, complete and effective interpretative skills, able to independently apply knowledge to solve the proposed problems;

· 24 - 25: knowledge of topics with a good degree of learning, good language properties, correct and sound interpretative skills, ability to correctly apply most of the knowledge to solve the proposed problems;

· 21 - 23: adequate knowledge of the topics, but lack of mastery of the details, satisfactory language properties, correct interpretative ability, limited ability to apply knowledge autonomously to solve the proposed problems;

· 18 - 20: basic knowledge of the main topics, basic knowledge of technical language, sufficient interpretative skills, ability to apply the basic knowledge acquired;

· Insufficient: does not have an acceptable knowledge of the topics covered during the course.
