Syllabus

Course Objectives

The course aims to deepen the concept of sustainability and apply it in the context of transport systems.

Specifically, the course aims to transfer to the student the knowledge inherent to sustainability objectives and actions for sustainable mobility.

The study of the fundamental components of a transport system in terms of supply and demand is proposed, thanks to which the student will be able to know the basic elements of a transport system; models and methods for estimating transport demand; the network models that define the transport offer; the supply-demand interaction.

The course includes applications regarding the modal choice model and demand estimation using different approaches.

Furthermore, real cases are proposed, documents that address the issues of sustainability and the relationship with the transport system.

Courses of mathematical analysis, geometry, physics 1



Teaching Methods

the course will take place in different ways:

face-to-face or online lessons in relation to pandemic trends

seminars with experts in person or online

field checks and surveys

preparation of exercises by the student with individual work



Assessment Methods


Evaluation by oral test, after verification of the exercise
