Syllabus

Course Objectives

The course aims to provide students with knowledge of the organization of social services according to the welfare model established as the objective of administrative action. Issues related to essential levels of service will be addressed, with particular attention to interventions for families, the disabled, minors, and the elderly.


Expected results

1.knowledge and understanding: understand and describe the fundamental principles of administrative law and their application in public administrations

2.applying knowledge and understanding: know and apply the main decision-making processes in public administrations in the social policy 

3.making judgements: critically consider the role of social welfare law in administrative action

4.communication skills: ability to rework and explain the contents learned

5.learning skills: ability to study independently

Elements of Public Law and Social Services Legislation

Assessment Methods

The exam consists of an oral test aimed at assessing the level of knowledge and understanding of the course content, evaluating independent judgment, learning ability, and communication skills.


Evaluation Method

30 cum laude: complete, in-depth, and critical knowledge of the topics, excellent command of language, complete and original interpretative skills, full ability to independently apply knowledge to answer the questions;

28 - 30: complete and in-depth knowledge of the topics, excellent command of language, complete and effective interpretative skills, able to independently apply knowledge to answer the questions;

24 - 27: knowledge of the topics with a good level of mastery, good command of language, correct and confident interpretative skills, good ability to correctly apply most of the knowledge to answer the questions;

20 - 23: adequate knowledge of the topics but limited mastery, satisfactory command of language, correct interpretative skills, more than adequate ability to independently apply knowledge to answer the questions;

18-19: basic knowledge of the main topics, basic knowledge of technical language, sufficient interpretive skills, sufficient ability to apply the acquired basic knowledge;

<18 Insufficient: does not possess an acceptable knowledge of the topics covered during the course.
