Syllabus

Course Objectives

The aim of the course is to enable students to acquire specific knowledge in the field of sports civil liability and develop a critical approach that allows them to evaluate with full knowledge of the facts the various compensation profiles and the varied conduct detrimental to the "person" asset, also as a response to the demands of the liquid and changing social reality.



Course Prerequisites

To be able to take the exam it is necessary to have passed the sports law exam



Teaching Methods

The course will take place through lectures, with exercises focused on particularly current issues



Assessment Methods

Learning assessment is assessed through an oral exam.


Grades will be expressed in thirtieths and will therefore range from 18/30 to 30/30 with honors, depending on the achievement of the following skills:

  • Excellent (30-30 with honors) will be assessed if the exam demonstrates a comprehensive, organic, and detailed knowledge of the course content, a full command of scientific language, and a mature ability to connect with real-world situations and engage in critical analysis.
  • Excellent (28-29) will be assessed if the exam demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the course content, excellent command of scientific language, and a solid ability to connect with real-world situations and engage in critical analysis.
  • Good (25-27) will be assessed if the exam demonstrates adequate knowledge of the course content, good command of scientific language, and an adequate ability to connect with real-world situations and engage in critical analysis.
  • A grade of fair (22-24) will be given to an exam that demonstrates a reasonable understanding of the course content, an acceptable command of scientific language, and the ability to connect real-world situations and engage in critical analysis.
  • A grade of sufficient (18-21) will be given to an exam that demonstrates a superficial understanding of the course content, sufficient command of scientific language, and the ability to connect real-world situations and engage in critical analysis.
  • A grade of insufficient will be given to an exam that demonstrates difficulty navigating the course content, the presence of gaps in training, inappropriate use of scientific language, or a predominantly rote understanding.

Contents

The course focuses on the study of sporting responsibility, with specific insights that change every year based on the current nature of the issues.


The students will be able to follow the following programme:


-Sporting offence: concept and general provisions.


-The sports excuse


-The responsibility of the athlete and other subjects involved in the sporting activity


-Extreme or dangerous sporting activities


-responsibility and doping


-focus on jurisprudential guidelines.


The program must be integrated with the rules contained in the civil code and in some sectoral laws.


At the end of the course the student will be able to understand and use the legal notions and general principles regarding civil liability, in general and sporting liability, in particular, which will also be useful for the purposes of entering the job market.
