Syllabus

Obiettivi Formativi

Knowledge and understanding:
knowledge of the basic knowledges underlying the behavior of soils and the role of water flow in porous media.

Applying knowledge and understanding:
application of the acquired knowledge to the understanding of soil behaviour in relation to practical problems.

Making judgements:
ability to analyze the problems relating to a specific geotechnical problem and identify the tests necessary to determine the parameters required for the design.

Communication skills:
use of the most appropriate strategy and vocabulary in order to explain all the peculiaruties specific to the behaviour of soils.

Learning skills:
to succeed, on the basis of a specific problem in a theoretical and practical context, in forming an experience that allows for the formation of an ever-growing cultural background.

The course is based on lectures and practical exercises that allow students to translate the theory into a logical flow leading to practical results.
