PRESMA Infinity BIM: PRogettazione, ESecuzione e MAnutenzione del modello digitale delle costruzioni per il digital twin della fabbrica Infinita
Project The three-year project coordinated by ACCA Software spa, had the general objective of creating new software products and services for the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) sector supply chain through the application of Building Information Modeling (BIM) methodologies for the definition of the digital virtual model of the building product (work) and the building process (design, construction and maintenance activities of the work). Six Research Organizations participated: Department of Structures for Engineering and Architecture (DIST) of the University of Naples Federico II; Department of Architecture, Construction Engineering and Built Environment (ABC) of the Polytechnic University of Milan; Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (DICEA) of the University of Florence; Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering (ICEA) of the University of Padua; Department of Computer Engineering, Modeling, Electronics and Systems (DIMES) of the University of Calabria; Department of Architecture and Territory (dArTe) of the Mediterranean University of Reggio Calabria.
The main result consists in the development of a digital BIM platform “Digital Management Platform”, a BIM oriented ERP (ERP Enterprise Resource Planning platform).
The platform allows, thanks to specific tools, the management, monitoring and control of resources, activities, times and costs of the building process in open formats (IFC, etc.), allowing collaboration between the entire supply chain that intervenes over time on the “infinite factory” (designers, construction companies, maintenance workers, safety technicians).
The operational unit of dArTe has transversally investigated the theme of Maintenance of Constructions and the Life Cycle of buildings and constituent parts by developing a theoretical study relating to the procedural aspects (analysis of the technical, scientific and regulatory state of the art, market analysis, etc.) with specific reference to methods, procedures and protocols, for the digital management of resources in information processes. It also works on the construction of BIM models referring to 5 buildings that configure, overall, by intended use, building typology, morphology of spaces and systems, 3 distinct case studies. For each case study a digital model was created, expressly defining the parameters for use for the purposes of planning maintenance activities.
