- Commission comment: The author of the paper, G. Failla is a young and very promising researcher. The Hankel variety of the Hankel planes is considered and the question is to find the defining equations. The paper uses a procedure of small steps to derive more partial relations and may be the starting point for a systematic study of the effective relations of H(2; n), for any n. The arguments are rather involved and original and contribute to the solution of an open problem. It is also interesting that the theoretical results are confirmed by using a software.
