Lopreiato Salvatore

Salvatore Lopreiato is a scholar and lecturer in Commercial Law at the University Mediterranea of Reggio Calabria, where he teaches Commercial Law and Agri-Food Biotechnology Law. He also teaches Commercial Law, Company Law, and Corporate and Financial Markets Law at LUISS Guido Carli University. His research focuses on corporate governance, company law, financial markets regulation, business crisis and insolvency law, ESG and sustainable business models, artificial intelligence and corporate governance, cybergovernance, and Third Sector organizations. He regularly lectures in postgraduate and executive education programmes, including master's degrees and specialized courses in Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Corporate Criminal Law, Compliance, and Third Sector Law. He serves on the editorial boards of Diritto ed economia del Terzo settore and Rivista di diritto alimentare, both ANVUR-ranked academic journals. Alongside his academic career, he has practiced law since 2004 and served as a member of the Banking and Financial Ombudsman (Arbitro Bancario Finanziario) of the Bank of Italy from 2017 to 2023. He is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences and the author of numerous publications on corporate governance, directors’ duties and liabilities, insolvency law, arbitration, banking regulation, listed companies, corporate controls, and financial markets regulation.
