Changing Landscapes and Landscapes in Change/Cambiando paesaggi e Paesaggi in cambiamento

"Changing landscapes/landscapes in Change, is the double meaning of the IP Programme that I direct. The Messina Strait its protagonist.
Aim of the project is to enhance the studies and investigations on values and sensitiveness applied on landscape design, usefull in directing intervention strategies for this area: subjects are abandoned industrial areas, urban peripheries, the consolidated urban public spaces system, park's and garden's architecture for marginal locations, the development of the rivers, coastlines, waterfronts and infrastructural spaces where the 'landscape system' in reason of the implementation of the ELC-European Landscape Convention, claims the settlement of attitudes and policies for an strategic and innovative intervention's quality. Not less important, to build through this experience the disciplinary specialization and to enrich the formative system, besides sharing and fostering cultural exchange between the partecipating Universities of our Intensive Programme.
