abstract:
The production construction levels of innovation and technological capabilities to manage the processes of transformation have changed the current scenario. The engine of this change is the increasing level of attention directed to the insistent demand for quality refurbished products, and related to the organization and management processes in the construction industry.
The author of this change is the redefinition of a new centrality of the Project, in all its various meanings and scales.
The research, based on coordination with the activities of the other research units participating in the project, has developed a study-oriented re-interpretation of the complex relationship between information quality and design, taking as basis the absolute centrality of renewed control information operable in the planning phase, given that technical information, you can recognize the role of disseminating and promoting the quality of the product in its overall quality of service, to the relationships with ecosystems - receptors through diversified uses of energy and materials.
This control information operable in the design phase, in this case, refers to the executive level planning, particularly directed to the restoration and upgrading of the existing modern architectural heritage. This, in view of the consideration that it is on this level of design, which concentrates the request for appropriateness, compliance and sustainability of manufacturing solutions and is at this level that refers to the need for validation of the project, before construction work. at this stage, in fact, focus conditions of greater risk than the possibility to achieve a predetermined overall quality of the entire work.

In line with the position expressed in the scientific problem, the contribution of industry has pursued the objective of structuring a model on a computer information system products and components which allows to evaluate the levels of compatibility of the possible design choices.
The Information System (BenchMat) discounted to the present research project is organized by a container divided into computerized information pathways, based on the use of databases related to each other and connected. The result is a computer model, to support the final design, in this case directed to the building rehabilitation, aimed at finding Technical Solutions through diversified routes driven decision-making.
