It is an ancient Roman-Christian settlement created around the
sixth century. The main group of ruins belongs to the Church of
St Stephen, where it is possible to admire numerous mosaics on
the floor. Umm ar-Rasas, also called Kastrom Mefa’a, is an
archaeological site located in the central-eastern Jordan.
