Corpo, movimento e didattica speciale: la funzione integrativa delle attività motorie
Academic Article
Publication Date:

abstract:
Different disciplines have contributed to the definition of disability by providing interesting directions on how
to build socio-learning paths that respect the disabled person, as well as his individual needs.
Special-needs education has been a meeting point of “medical, specialist psychological and educational components”
(Trisciuzzi, 2000), offering a new targeted approach to the recovery and strengthening of the residual abilities of every
disabled person. The revisiting of “diversity” as a value to be protected, opens an interesting debate on the educational
value of the integrative function of possible paths based on the use of the body and movement. The involvement of
the disabled person in corporeal-kinesthetic activity is a great opportunity for emancipation, growth and development
contributing to the construction of the welfare of disabled people of all ages.
