L’apprendimento trasformativo nei disabili. Transformative learning for the disabled

The expression transformative learning was coined by Jack Mezirow in 1978. According to the theory of transformative learning, an adult can really change their meaning schemes if, in their life, they come across a disorienting dilemma: thus a problem which their previous experience and knowledge provides no solutions.However, learning can be transformed if it helps to critically reflect on experiences. As a result, from the effects of this dilemma, there begins a phase of reflection, of new awareness and change that involves interpreting perspectives.The transformation of how a perspective is interpreted also allows for a more inclusive perspective; one that is available and open to the integration of new experiences even for disabled person.
