abstract:
The volume is the result of the research experience for third parties conducted on commission by De Masi Industrie Meccaniche from 2017 to 2019, with the scientific responsibility of the author of the volume. The same has led a team of professionals from the academic world, from research centers, from the highly specialized professional sector and from innovative startups. The author also followed the prototyping phase of the components in the laboratory and factory. Studies and researches, experiments, to produce "a housing module with double seismic and environmental safety", with reference to the specializations of the "smart factory, environment and energy" and "enabling and digital technologies for advanced manufacturing", according to advanced design processes in off-site. A model engineered and subjected to testing and pre-prototyping in its components through the manufacturing phases in the laboratory and factory. A housing module capable of settling, in autonomous energy landscape scenarios, through the operation of smart grids for self-sufficient districts in sensitive contexts. Technologies enabling innovation processes in terms of climate adaptation, with green, fast and off-site construction activities. The production of "a machine-made house" with high quality living that goes beyond the emergency demand and pushes the aggregation of urban and suburban models "in transition". The research path, in the transfer from the experimental to the industrial development from its concept phase to that of prototype / MVP, was verified according to the TRL Horizon 2020 method, overcoming all levels of industrial validation of its technical-scientific results. In the text, the author with 8 authorial chapters guides the scientific contributions of those who contributed to the research, reporting the most salient sector results. The curator of the volume and scientific director of the research is present in the book with 8 contributions including the introduction. The results of the research have received international recognition, with the invitation to the 17th Venice Architecture Biennale - Italian Pavilion "Resilient Communities" with the project of curating and participation in the advisory board with the proposal "S2HOME. Digital / Human: "Effort in Transition"
