Radiolarcity e l'Archikoltura (a cura di Maurizio Oddo)

The volume collects the drawings and projects drawn up in order to demonstrate that there can be a different approach to ensure the right balance between architecture and nature starting from the need to balance the two partitions. Archikoltura is a project for the redefinition of human spaces starting from the idea that some architectural concretions of evident Haeckelian matrix can become extensive objects so as to cover the entirety of the globe. If in the past it was precisely the origin of agriculture that determined the settlements and their location in space in a stable way, due to their permanence, where the house was nothing more than a clock of time, according to the beautiful definition of Sloterdijk, in this case an attempt is made to define, on the basis of a post-Pyranesian hypothesis, the deflagration of a living space conceived by summation of single architectures which, detached from the typological character, reinvent an extensive space, not as a standardized No-Stop City, but rather in the logic of growth and form a la D'Arcy THompson. Mineral, vegetable and animal nature meet to define a growth process that unites, to the point of making clear in the repetition of the non-identical, a new extensive program for an architecture to come.
