The current covid-19 pandemic brought e-voting back at the center of the public debate, having some of the most important Parliament in the world decided to carry their activity on remotely. However, e-voting has a history that dates farther back. The paper focuses on the elective function performed by e-voting techniques in the Canadian experience, which represents an example of absolute interest, especially thanks to the Ontario municipal elections’ case.
