Sicilian Heritage Identity: Between Stereotype and AI-Based Knowledge.

Sicily, in the collective imagination, is strongly characterized; its representation is often poised between hagiography and folklore. What are the components that give life to an archetypal representation of Sicily? The idea of this research, still in progress and open on several disciplinary fronts, is to make explicit, thanks to the AI applied to textual descriptions, the image that underlies many stereotypes in the representation of Sicily.
