Considerazioni generali sul concetto di sviluppo sostenibile

The contribution is part of the book "The Sustainable Management of energy resources in building and facilities sectors", realized by the same author, at the conclusion of a training and research project funded by a 2000-06 POR Calabria.Specifically, from a quick analysis on the evolution of the general concept of sustainability we get to think about the many difficulties that the building sector, considered to be highly energy-intensive, meets to adhere to the ongoing changes, and how conversely a transformation of mentality and procedure is necessary.And therefore, a new approach modality is necessary to the construction process by linking the different phases of this process with local resources, considering the efficiency, not only energetic, of the "building product" and considering the reuse and / or reduction of outputs as an integral part of the process.
