Sustainable production of textile fibers, biofuels, and chemicals from poplar wood / Paone, E., Mauriello, F.. - In: TRENDS IN CHEMISTRY. - ISSN 2589-5974. - 5:1(2023), pp. 1-2. [10.1016/j.trechm.2022.10.007]
abstract:
The valorization of lignocellulose into chemicals and materials remains a key issue to achieve the sustainability transition. A recent article in Joule by Adler et al. presents a simple chemo-catalytic protocol to replace the current production of cotton by converting hybrid poplar wood into cellulose-based textile fibers, biofuels, and chemicals.
