Studi sulla biomassa in un ceduo di leccio (Quercus ilex L.) del Gargano

The survey concernes ageing holm oak coppices in Gargano. On 100 sample trees, relationships between some stem and crown characteristics have been examined; crown biomass has been divided into leaf and wood components. The last one has been further divided into lop and branches biomasses. Volumes tables and aboveground biomass tables (single entry and double entry) have been constructed for these coppices. Biomass estimates are given both for stem and branches and for the whole tree.
