Approvvigionamento e uso dell’acqua a Reggio e Locri in età greca e romana

Reggio and Locri Epizefiri show great diversity both in topography and in the condition of places. This study reconstructs supplying modalities and use of hydric resources in the two urban centers during Greek and Roman ages, analysing also the ways of hydrological uptake, water distribution systems and diffusion within living areas. The results about the Greek age are in comparison with Roman age discoveries, ensuring the abandon of reservoirs in favor of the use of wells in Reggio, and the deep changes due to the construction of aqueduct in ditribution and quality of water supplies; whereas in Locri the pre-existent pipeline network remained probably used, because replenished
