The growing complexity of financial choices that we all make daily throughout our lives now requires knowledge superior to that generally available in large segments of the population. Increasing everyone's ability to understand the basic concepts of finance and its "Calculation" and to know how to use them in order to make more informed financial choices is a priority objective recognized by governments and institutions worldwide. In Italy, the delay in financial literacy is particularly pronounced, and the school's contribution to improving the level of financial culture can be decisive: education and investments in culture and knowledge, especially of young people, constitute one of the key factors for economic growth and can contribute to the formation of an "aware economic citizenship" and to the well-being of citizens in our country. Moreover, starting as early as possible in life, beginning already in the school environment, facilitates early familiarization with finance and economics topics and helps overcome that widespread state of cultural and psychological "discomfort" found in the adult population when the time comes to make important choices. The objective of this course - highly innovative - so much so as to represent a "unicum" in the university educational landscape within the field of Education Sciences, contains in nuce a dual pedagogical-educational importance and purpose: on the one hand, to contribute to forming an active citizenship in the economic-financial field that is aware and equipped, and on the other, to promote the training of "trainers" of future generations increasingly immersed in a growing economic-financial complexity also in light of the profound digitalization processes of economic systems underway. The Course will be enriched by the proactive participation of a team of experts from the Bank of Italy who will support the Instructor in classroom training activities.

Evaluation criteria:
30 cum laude: complete, in-depth and critical knowledge of the topics, excellent language skills, complete and original interpretative ability, full ability to independently apply knowledge to solve the proposed problems;
28 - 30: complete and in-depth knowledge of the topics, excellent language skills, complete and effective interpretative skills, able to independently apply the knowledge to solve the proposed problems;
24 - 27: knowledge of the topics with a good degree of mastery, good command of the language, correct and sure interpretative ability, good ability to correctly apply most of the knowledge to solve the proposed problems;
20 - 23: adequate knowledge of the topics but limited mastery of the same, satisfactory language skills, correct interpretative ability, more than sufficient ability to independently apply the knowledge to solve the proposed problems;
18 - 19: basic knowledge of the main topics, basic knowledge of the technical language, sufficient interpretative ability, sufficient ability to apply the acquired basic knowledge;

The Course is the result of an educational project that is being proposed experimentally by the Department of Law, Economics and Human Sciences and by the Degree Program in Primary Education Sciences. Thanks to collaboration with the Bank of Italy through a team of experts from the Reggio Calabria branch, educational topics aimed at promoting the dissemination of a modern financial culture will be addressed.
