The course aims to provide students with a critical and historically grounded understanding of the principles shaping the main institutions of European private law. Through the analysis of the concepts of ownership, possession, transfer of assets, and obligations, the course aims to provide an understanding, within the perspective of the historicity of law, of the common roots of European private law. Furthermore, The course also aims to foster a comparative and critical approach to different legal systems, promoting the development of a European legal awareness grounded in the Roman tradition.
