abstract:
We live in a present disorder where our uncertain steps as architects is aimed at negotiating chaos. Hence the topicality and the need to give importance to urban morphology studies in order to understand the new boundless and indefinite forms of contemporary construction, which even seems to include the city within a landscape of fragments. We must start again from these "ruins": to transform the fragments into tesserae of a mosaic for the restoration of the territory , against the current deterritorialization that leaves us without history and without geography. The studies of urban morphology and the investigation of typological processes allow us to elaborate a positive transformation of the chaotic contemporary construction and a redevelopment of the territories. We must find a telos in the orderly and disordered canvas of the contemporary metropolis: an order of fragments to negotiate chaos.
