The essay investigates the prospects of religious tourism in Italy, highlighting its high growth and change in its trend. Before the 2008 crisis was especially short visits, while in 2010 there was an increase of long visits, presumably devotional paths, which also reflects a structural change, in relation to the dynamics of supply. On this basis, the essay goes on to examine the four accessibility which influence growth. Finally, we examined the intersection of the variables of religious tourism sites for culturally and artistically homogeneous or heterogeneous and devotional paths and its opportunities for the South of Italy
