Abstract:
The last few years have been very signi"cant for the global debate about cities and health. The de"- nition of the 2030 Agenda has identi"ed the urban dimension as the one suitable for resolving many of the issues of sustainability and well-being. Some European cities are already experimenting with environmental sustainability policies that have direct eects on health conditions. In accordance with these changed trends in the use of the city also in our country, in the context of urban plan- ning, attention was paid to the in#uence on health by urban planning, overcoming the notion of pro- ject as a solely spatial approach to the future vision of the city, deeming it useful to include human activities in the concept of the plan as a process of change that allows to reduce environmental and exposure risks, in order to achieve the desired well-being and health equity.
