Multidimensional Valuation of Monuments in Landscape Contex

This paper concerns preservation and treasuring of Monuments in the broad landscape context and the need of their valuation to understand their objective relevance as well as to set-up priorities in projects and programs for their conservation, visit and cultural re-use. Because it is not simple to identify intrinsic and use values of Monument and to estimate benefits stemming from them, a methodology has been set to perform comparative valuation through Multi Criteria Techniques. In the Case Study a cluster of Monuments is analyzed by multiple criteria and scores are assigned to each of them to perform ordinal assessment. The latter lead to a comparative ranking of Cultural Good, useful to set priorities in preservation, conservation, cultural activities and tourist visits
