L'economia del dono a partire dalla riflessione di Paul Ricoeur

This contribution aims to reflect on the gift economy based on the thinking of Paul Ricoeur; a topic that concerns philosophical, ethical and legal aspects. From the perspective proposed, gift-giving becomes a way of applying the law that departs from a purely utilitarian logic (do ut des) and is instead based on a logic defined by Ricoeur as reciprocity, in which the main element is the recognition of the other. A legal example of this is mediation; giving and mediating thus represent important moments of legality that place human relationships at the centre.
