Abstract
A )The paper examines the Regional policy of incentives to movie industry, focusing on their typologies and their importance for the development of tourism. 2) The methodology consist in a systematic research on the regulation of various Italian Regions in the frame of E.U and in the analysis of financial data . I also present a quantitative methodology (Forte-Mantovani touristic development Index) to assess the effectiveness of these policies for the development of tourism. From the variety of instruments set up by the different Regions, does not emerge a coherent picture of these policies in relation to the relevant public objectives. The explanation may also be trace to the ambiguous and uncertain EU regulation of culture.
