Aldo Van Eyck’s designs: Magical squares and enchanted circlesAnalysing Van Eyck’s designs is almost more intriguing than talking of his architecture. His designs are a magical game of different patterns in a variation of planimetric a volumetric shape all different but all coherent, so as to reach the reach the right poetics of a work in which references and memories play a decisive role. (…) The designs of Aldo Van Eyck are strongly imbued with “archetypicality” that is anyway deep-rooted in his formation and that emerges in his works carried out in fact as works “Found” in the universe of the mental forms that he has elaborated through a careful research of the primordial nature present in the universe constructed.
